- · American children are facing stiffer global competitions from students in other countries, whose governments believe in investing in education.
- · American children are rapidly becoming members of a shrinking American middle class that is working harder for less pay, paying more of their wages for less benefits, loosing all their rights to collectively bargaining power, and living under the stressful cloud of less job security.
- · American children are facing a future in which a fewer number of American citizens will “pledge allegiance to America.” Instead, a substantial number of Americans will live as American citizens, (in name only), while continuing to pledge their allegiance to their countries of origin.
- · American children are facing a future in which all the mechanisms (fair and honest elections, the protection of individual rights, justice for all, equal opportunity, strong national defense . . .) that guarantee the rights that so many of us take for granted will disappear.

Invest in Education, the Middle Class, and our Children
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
If you’re the parent or grandparent of a young adult, who graduated from high school last year, it is important to know when the “Bush Tax Cuts” started, that young adult was beginning first grade! If you’re the parent or the grandparent of a student who is currently in 12th grade, it is helpful to know your precious child was beginning kindergarten, when the “Bush Tax Cuts” that were going to “make the future better for the children” started.
Here we are 12 years later and the future for American children is looking dimmer and more uncertain:
When we, the parents of American children, forget the past and repeat the same mistakes of the past, it is our wonderful children that are going to suffer from our mistakes. It is time for us to begin to invest in education, the middle class, and our children.
I am praying to God that we have the resolve to do so!
